The conference is being held at the renowned National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS). The Fellowship will help selected young psychiatrists from all over the world to understand the rapid strides Psychiatry in India has achieved over the years.
This will also afford them an opportunity to visit NIMHANS . Those selected, will join two days of exclusive Young Psychiatrist Tract on Jan 10 and Jan 11 (2-5 pm) besides partaking in all conference activities including scientific programmes, cultural events dinners and banquets.
Components of Fellowship:
1. Exclusive Young Psychiatrist Tract on Jan 10 and Jan 11 (2-5 pm)
2. Free Registration and Free Economy Accomodation
3. Travel grant of Rs 25,000 (approximately $ 500)
4. Participation in scientific programmes, cultural events dinners and banquets
5. IPS IYPT Award Certificate.
Eligibilty:
1. Applicant must be a young psychiatrist, below 40 years.
2. They should have outstanding career and academic records.
3. One Fellowship can be recommended by any Member Society of WPA outside India Mode of Selection:
The best five applicants will be selected by the IPS Scientific Committee, to be chaired by IPS Vice-President Prof Indira Sharma.
How to apply?:
1. Applications enclosing an up-to-date CV (maximum four pages) should be forwarded and recommended by the respective WPA Member Society President. Each President can recommend only one application.
2. Each applicant should enclose a one page statement, on how he expects to benefit from this Fellowship.
