Dr. Frecska Ede

Dr. Frecska Ede 1953. május 6-án született Budapesten.
Jelenleg tanszékvezető docens a Debreceni Egyetem Pszichiátriai Klinikáján.

General information

Conference name: XX. Itinerant Conference of Hungarian Psychiatric Association (Including international meetings)
Conference title: The future of Psychiatry - Travelling through Time and Space
Date: 25 – 28. May 2016.
Location: Budapest Congress Center (1123 Budapest, Jagelló út 1-3.)

Invitation

Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to the 2016 Danube Symposium, organized by the Hungarian Psychiatric Association and held May 25-28, 2016 in Budapest. At this conference held in English, our colleagues will be taken on a virtual journey through space and time in order to discuss questions concerning the future of psychiatry in Europe. We have selected topics such as the competence of psychiatry and its limits; the possibilities of cooperation between psychiatrists and helpers; the role of systems/networks in psychiatry; the relationship between psychiatry and virtual reality, especially regarding e-mental health and telepsychiatry, as well as the opportunities and challenges that telepsychotherapy faces. We will devote substantial attention to questions of transcultural psychiatry, as this field encompasses numerous pressing issues of our times.

We are looking forward to hearing about your related research, experience, and opinions, so that through discussion we may all be enriched with new perspectives, thus contributing to the renewal of 21st century psychiatry.

In the name of the Congress Organizing Committee,
I hope to see you in Budapest,

Kind regards,

Dr. Károly Molnár,
President of the Hungarian Psychiatric Association

Location

Budapest, Hungary

The capital of Hungary with a population of two million is bisected by the mighty flow of the Danube with hills and valleys on the Buda side and the flat, low-lying Pest on the other. Often described as the "Little Paris of Middle Europe", Budapest is famous not only for the monuments reflecting its 1,000 year old culture, but also for the historic relics of those who settled here. In the city, there is an unmistakable feeling that something out of the ordinary is just around the corner, but what it will be is up to you to find out.

Time Zone
Budapest is in the Central European Time (CET) zone. In the winter months this means clocks are set at GMT + 1 hour, and in the summer (March to the end of October) GMT + 2 hours.

Climate
The climate of Budapest is humid continental with warm or very warm summers. The spring months (March and April) see variable conditions, with a rapid increase in the average temperature (around 10-12 ˚C). The weather in late March and April is often very agreeable during the day and fresh at night. Budapest's long summer, lasting from May until mid-September is warm or very warm. Budapest has as much summer sunshine as many Mediterranean resorts. Sudden heavy showers also occur, particularly in May and June.

Electricity
Voltage in Hungary is 220 volts, and plugs are of the two-pin continental type.

Telephone
The international code for Hungary is 36; the area code for Budapest is 1.

Currencies
The Hungarian currency is the forint (Ft). All visitors are advised to exchange currency only at accredited places. The majority of banks have 24-hour ATM’s some of which can also exchange foreign currency. Some places will accept payment in Euros, however this is at the discretion of the venue.

Taxes
In most cases standard Value Added Tax (VAT) in 2015 is payable at a rate of 27%.
There is a reduced rate of 18%, relating to hotels and basic food and a 5% rate that relates mainly to products and services such as books and medicines.

Visa
Some delegates may require a visa to enter Hungary; more information can be found in English at www.konzuliszolgalat.kormany.hu/en

Getting here

By airplane
The Liszt Ferenc International Airport (www.bud.hu) is ten miles south-east of the city centre. Terminal 2A is the departure and arrival point for flights to and from Schengen countries and Terminal 2B hosts all flights from non-Schengen countries.

By rail
More than fifty trains a day provide direct links between Budapest and no fewer than 25 other capital cities. More information can be found at www.mavcsoport.hu/en.

By car
All Hungary’s motorways and most of the main roads radiate out from the capital. The M1, M3, M5 and M7 are toll motorways, and you must pay the appropriate toll (either at the border or at larger petrol stations). Road signs conform to continental standards.

Conference Venue

Bp kongr. kp.

The Budapest Congress Center (BCC) is the number one conference centre in Hungary. Situated in a picturesque chestnut park, the BCC can be found on the Buda side of the capital, close to the Southern Railway Station, the M1/M7 Motorways, and MOM Shopping Center. The conference and the exhibition will be organized in the Center’s conference rooms. The BCC is linked to the Novotel Budapest City Hotel by an internal corridor.

How to get there?

The Budapest Congress Center is easily accessible with any kind of transportation. From the airport, the simplest way is to use either the Budapest Airport Minibus or to take a taxi. Further information about the Minibus service can be found at www.airportshuttle.hu/en. Taxis are stationed in front of the Terminal. The official taxi company of the airport is Főtaxi www.fotaxi.hu, the other companies cannot wait directly in front of the terminal and have separate waiting areas, a 1-2 minute walk from the entrance.
More information about the public transport services from the airport can be found at: www.bud.hu/english/passengers/access_and_parking/by_public_transportation.

We suggest that participants travelling by train arrive at the Southern Railway Station and the Conference Center is 10 minutes away by public transport.
Participants arriving by public transport, can take Tram 61 from either Széll Kálmán Square or Móricz Zsigmond Square. The parking lot of the Congress Center can be reached from Jagello Street.

In order to set a good example and reduce the carbon foot print, we aim to organise this event according to the criteria of Green Meetings. We are taking steps to make the XX. Itinerant Conference of Hungarian Psychiatric Association (Including international meetings) as “green” as possible.
For this reason and because the Budapest Congress Centre is easily accessible by public transport, we recommend participants use public transport where possible. You can find information about how to reach the Budapest Congress Centre here.

Parking

The Hotel Novotel Budapest City offers spaces for its guests in its parking lot at a discounted rate. The price is 2500,- Ft / car / day.
The entrance of the Congress Center’s parking place is from Jagello Street. The price is 300,- Ft /car / hour.

Conference Language

The official language of the conference is Hungarian and English.

Credit points

For participation on the conference the doctors and clinical psychologists will receive 50 points. The certificate will be granted only for full time participation and it will be available after the conference. Professional carers will not receive credit points.

Kiemelt figyelmet fordítunk a transzkulturális pszichiátria kérdéseire, mely napjaink egyik legégetőbb problémájává vált. Az izgalmas hazai témák közül kiemelésre érdemes a Nemzeti Agykutatás Program legújabb eredményeinek bemutatása, vagy éppen a művészetterápia, a kórházi pszichiátriai rehabilitáció és a közösségi pszichiátriai ellátás legfontosabb kérdéseinek megbeszélése.

A korábbi vándorgyűléseken megszokott módon sok érdekes szimpóziumot, munkacsoportot és kerekasztalt tervezünk. Várjuk a hazai szakemberek jelentkezését és a kutatási eredményeket, tapasztalatokat, véleményeket és elképzeléseket bemutató absztraktokat.

Szeretettel várunk Titeket Budapesten, hogy a kongresszuson felmerülő témák megbeszélésével, új szempontokkal gazdagodhassunk, hozzájárulva a XXI. század pszichiátriájának megújításhoz.

A májusi találkozásban bízva barátsággal üdvözlünk a Kongresszus Szervező Bizottságának nevében:
