  EPA is pleased to announce its Scholarship Programme 2013 and the EPA Research Prizes. Applications are now being accepted via EPA's Online Application System. All interested, eligible early career psychiatrists are encouraged to apply.
  
  The EPA Scholarship Programme supports 5 early career psychiatrists and trainees working in the countries of the WHO Europe region in attending the European Congress of Psychiatry.

  Apply for the EPA Scholarship Programme by 1 November 2012.
  
  Research Prizes of 2 500€ each will be awarded by EPA to early career psychiatrists working in Europe, who have published the best scientific papers in the year 2012 in one of four categories.

  Geriatric Psychiatry Section
  
  Collaborates with WHO The World Health Organisation Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse has appointed Carlos Augusto de Mendonça Lima and Horácio Firmino from the EPA Section of Geriatric Psychiatry to the Consultation Group on the Classification of Mental and Behavioural Disorders in Older Adults. This group will report to the  nternational Advisory Group for the Revision of ICD-10 Mental and Behavioural Disorders.
  
  Calls for Expression of Interest 
  
  The European Medicines Agency has launched calls for the expression of interest to become members of its scientific committees Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee and the Committee for Advanced Therapies.
  The scientific committees of the European Medicines Agency are at the heart of the EU system for medicinal products and it is essential that patients and healthcare professionals are sufficiently represented in them.
  
  The calls are open until 1 October 2012 and more information is available here:
