On behalf of the Organizing and Scientific Committee of 2nd International Workshop on Lung Health, COPD: New Challenges, New Solutions (COPD 2015), we would like to inform you about this upcoming congress and to approach you for possible cooperation.
COPD 2015 will take place on February 19-21, 2015 in Valencia, Spain and will be dedicated to the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and its impact on lung health. The congress is held under the auspices of the International Atherosclerosis Society.
Multiple risk factors management is a critical area in cardiovascular prevention and therapy. The aim of the symposium is to offer an integrated view of the new approaches now prevailing which include combined control of lipid disorders, hypertension, thrombosis, and diabetes, and the increasing use of polytherapy to reduce global cardiovascular risk. The meeting will also provide practical answers to the health care professionals who are often confronted with selecting either a single risk factor for treatment or treating several risk factors simultaneously and with which priority. The concept of the “global patient” and of “personalized medicine” will be presented and discussed and much attention will also be devoted to health economic issues.
