Kedves Kollégák!
Jön a „legek” kongresszusa! A Magyar Gyermekorvosok Társasága 2024-ben ünnepli alapításának 100. évfordulóját. A centenárium évében a szervezetünk közösen ünnepli a hazai gyermekgyógyászatot a Házi Gyermekorvosok Egyesületével Debrecenben, a Kölcsey Központban 2024. november 14. és 16. között: a „Szívvel-lélekkel, tudománnyal” mottóval rendezett centenáriumi eseménysorozat részeként együtt tartjuk meg az MGYT 67. Nagygyűlését és a HGYE 29. Őszi Konferenciáját, amelyre szeretettel várjuk a tagokat.
Szakmai támogatóinknak köszönhetően idén minden eddiginél jelentősebb tudományos programmal készülünk: 2024. november 13-án, a konferenciát megelőzően pl. „Satellita” napot rendezünk, amelyen a meghívott külföldi gyermekgyógyászok mutatják be munkájukat. Később, a Nagygyűlés idején több mint 200 orvosi előadást hallhatnak az érdeklődők. A rendezvényen átadják a Társaság nívós szakmai díjait, megemlékezve azon kiváló kollégákról is, akik az elmúlt 100 évben példaképeink lehettek. A kongresszus plenáris ülésén Társaságunk tiszteletére a Magyar Nemzeti Bank emlékérmet bocsát ki, a Magyar Posta Zrt. pedig emlékbélyeget ad ki. Korabeli filmhiradó részletek elevenítik fel az elmúlt 100 év mérföldköveit.
A magas színvonalú előadások, posterek mellett esténként különleges programokkal várjuk a szakma képviselőit, többek között rendhagyó hangverseny lesz a debreceni Református Nagytemlomban, valamint a Kölcsey Központ felett varázslatos drón show-val is készülünk.

Az Európai Táplálási Társaság (ESPEN) idén is megrendezi népszerű, világméretű felmérését a kórházi ellátásban részesülő betegek táplálásáról. A Nutrition Day nevű vizsgálat 2006 óta az év egy kitűzött napján, keresztmetszeti jelleggel felméri a résztvevő osztályokon ellátott betegek állapotát, táplálását és kimenetelét. A vizsgálatban több, mint 70 ország vett már részt értékes adatokkal járulva hozzá a klinikai táplálás munkájához helyben és nemzetközi szinten is.
Tavaly Magyarországról 10 intenzív osztályról összesen 158 beteg adatai kerültek feldolgozásra, ami jó eredmény! A vizsgálati nap 2024-ben november 14-e lesz, amelyhez szeretnénk, ha idén a tavalyiak mellé újabb hazai Intenzív osztályok csatlakoznának!

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our distinct pleasure to announce the 1st edition of the Heart, Vessels & Diabetes European Conference to be held in the capital city of Portugal, Lisbon, from 9 to 11 December 2010.
Our world is facing an epidemic of diabetes and obesity, a population at high risk of cardiovascular complications. It is therefore necessary to promote in depth discussions and collaborations amongst all the professionals concerned by the management of these patients: cardiologists, diabetologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, neurologists
and internists.
Our ambition is that the Heart, Vessels & Diabetes Conference becomes the European reference on both cardiovascular and diabetes related issues by the creation of a unified forum where all specialists will attend common sessions and share their experience. The scientific programme will include lectures, debates, clinical case presentations as well as industry symposia. European experts will discuss the latest developments of clinical trials and clinical research and will examine their implications for daily practice.
This event of very high scientific standard with a panel of European key opinion leaders will gather a large audience of about 2,000 practitioners in cardiology, diabetes, lipids, blood pressure and related fields. As you will read within this preliminary programme, the members of the Scientific Committee are among some of the most prestigious and renowned cardiologists, diabetologists and endocrinologists in order to ensure the highest scientific level to the sessions.

For several years CSRS-E has organized twice a year the “Hands on Cadaver Course”.
The course combines the unique experience of theoretical classes with hands on practice taught by distinguished faculty members of CSRS-ES. Young orthopedic or neurological surgeons interested in spine pathology benefit by learning invaluable techniques then practicing shoulder to shoulder with some of Europe´s finest surgeons. The Fifth Course was rated extremely well by all participants.
The next course will take place November 26 and 27, 2010 in Barcelona, Spain. The course is held at the well-known and highly respected University of Barcelona´s Faculty of Medicine laboratories. The price for the course is a modest 600 Euros which includes the course, two nights at a hotel, working meals and transportation to and from the course facilities.

Hallux valgus & Ankle arthritis
Foot and ankle surgery has made tremendous progress in the last few years. Today, surgeons can choose from a selection of treatments for hallux valgus and arthritis in the ankle. These open up an even wider variety of surgical options depending on the foot pathology.

The course aims to teach musculo-skeletal ultrasound and is designed to learn the practice of standard ultrasound examinations. For that purpose, the key anatomic strucures are discussed for each joint and emphasisi is placed on training each participant individually in practical sessions. This is guaranteed by the presence of experienced teachers and by the limited number of participants (maximum 24) accepted for each training session. Formal lectures provide an overview of current applications.
