Supported by the Hungarian Psychiatric Association, the Scottish Choose Life Program, the World Psychiatric Association and the French Institute, organized by the “Home in the Soul” Foundation.
On the conference there will be lectures and workshops. There will be different sections.
- Psychiatry and pediatric psychiatry and the environment. How can the position of psychiatry be strengthened in prevention? How can/should psychiatry co-operate with the psychologists, teachers, volunteers, police, churches, and other staff?
- Psychiatry: Depression, Anxiety and Suicide . Early intervention in schizophrenia for suicide prevention Section for psychiatrists, pediatric psychiatrists.
- Psychiatry: Schizphrenia and suicide
- Survivor organizations. Tasks and possibilities. How to help the survivors? How to help the parents, how to help the family? Possibilities of students and teachers?
- School violence and suicidology (Alienation, Revenge, Redemption) How can the teacher, the psychologist, the social worker, psychiatrist act to promote the health and well being of the pupil/student,) How can the experts and helpers co-operate for prevention. Parents – Teacher – Pupil/stu¬dent – Psychologists. Different levels – different interventions?
- Contemporary volunteers. How to train contemporary volunteers? How can children help other children?
- Internet: possibilities and hazards. Risk and possibilities. How do Internet help lines work? What is the difference between internet help lines and telephone help lines?
- Media: How can film and radio help? How to cre¬ate a useful spot for prevention? Does it really help?
How could media guidelines help? How can media workers be persuaded to follow the guidelines?

A konferencián előadások hangzanak el, a hibák és tévedések szociológiájáról (Dr. Bánlaky Pál CSc szakvezető főiskolai tanár), pszichológiájáról (Takács Péter klinikai szakpszichológus, okleveles szupervizor), a gyakorlati munkáról (Kevy Bea szociális munkás, pca tréner), a szupervizióról (Nagyné Bejczy Emőke okleveles szupervizor) képzésben-oktatásban (Dr. Hegyesi Gábor CSc főiskolai tanár) tolmácsolásában. Esetmegbeszélő és szuperviziós csoportokban a gyakorlati munka hibái kerülnek elemzésre. Műhelymunkák keretében gyermekvédelem, fogyatékosság, álláskeresés, idősgondozás, családsegítés, utcai szociális munka témában hozott esetek kerülnek feldolgozásra.

A LELKI EGÉSZSÉG VILÁGNAPJÁról 1992 óta emlékeznek meg minden év október elején. A világnap célja a figyelemfelkeltés, valamint a pszichiátriai problémákhoz és a pszichiátriai problémákkal élőkhöz kapcsolódó előítéletek elleni harc, a lelki egészség középpontba állítása.

| Bleeding and Thrombosing Diseases: The Basics and Beyond (Coagulation Conference and Wet Workshop) |

Mayo's 6th Coagulation Wet Workshop (August 5, 2004) will particularly benefit laboratory technologists, physicians, and scientists who have responsibilities for diagnostic coagulation laboratory testing.
Workshop participants will form teams for supervised coagulation testing and evaluation of four “unknown” plasma specimens at six workstations using coagulation instrumentation and reagents provided by commercial sponsors. Workshop faculty will lead a discussion of results and interpretations including their similarity or diversity.
Mayo's 11th Coagulation Conference (August 6-7, 2004) is designed for clinicians, pathologists, scientists, and laboratory technologists whose practices include bleeding and thrombosing diseases. The conference will examine basic and clinical aspects of hemostasis and blood coagulation in relation to common laboratory tests followed by practical information about the more complicated disorders, including updates about testing, diagnosis, and management.
