Dear Colleague,
It is our pleasure to invite you to the Third International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) Congress on February 9-10, 2017, in Leuven, Belgium.
After two successful editions in 2013 and 2015 with more than 350 participants from 28 different countries this event has grown into the leading congress on diagnosis and management of ovarian tumors. The scientific program includes the most innovative methods varying from state-of-the-art “liquid biopsies” to MRI and ultrasonographic imaging and focuses strongly on education.
The aim of our third international congress is to communicate what we have learnt from the IOTA study of over 19,000 adnexal masses. We will focus on education in gynecological ultrasonography and the management of ovarian pathology as well as the evaluation of cancer once it has been diagnosed. Therefore, we have invited outstanding experts from various disciplines including ultrasonography, gynecologic oncology, pathology and radiology to discuss the optimal approaches to the evaluation and management of ovarian tumors. We will also highlight future prospects for research including novel biomarkers, imaging and surgery.
As the primary focus of IOTA is on ultrasonography, there will be an emphasis on the important features of different types of mass as well as the ultrasound variables used in IOTA models and rules. At the end of the meeting we would expect attendees to be fully conversant with these. They will have then the opportunity to test their knowledge, receiving an IOTA certificate if passed.
The congress consists in plenary lectures, symposia, interactive small group workshops and debates. There will be plenty of time to network and exchange ideas with colleagues.
We would like to invite you to take part in the congress and contribute to what should be an exciting meeting.
