A bőrdaganatok, köztük a festéksejtekből kiinduló melanoma gyakorisága világszerte nő, és egyre fiatalabb korosztályból szedi áldozatait. A bőrdaganatok egyszerű, fájdalommentes vizsgálattal felismerhetők, időben kezelve pedig, szinte száz százalékban gyógyíthatók.
Az MDT Dermatoonkológiai Szekciója 2007-ben csatlakozott az Euromelanoma Kampányhoz Országos Melanoma Nap (www.euromelanoma.org) formájában. Azóta minden esztendőben az Országos Melanoma Nap keretén belül különböző figyelemfelkeltő programok, tevékenységek és nem utolsó sorban a bőrgyógyász kollégák által elhivatottan végzett ingyenes anyajegy tanácsadások (évente átlagosan 3000 fő) valósulhattak meg országszerte. Minden negyedik bőrgyógyász részese volt valamilyen formában ennek a kampánynak az elmúlt időszakban. Az utóbbi években az országos aktivitás keretén belül végeztünk bőrdaganatokkal kapcsolatos tanácsadást.
Az idei Euromelanoma Nap 2015. május 4-én (hétfőn) lesz. Ezen a napon egy nagyszabású országos média kampány keretében tájékoztatjuk a laikus közönséget a bőrdaganatok tüneteiről, és arról, hogy az időbeni felismerés életmentő lehet ennél a betegségnél is. A bőrdaganatok felismerésében a késedelem akár halálos is lehet!

A multidisciplinary bridge between private and hospital-based management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers
The 1st Daily Dermato-Oncology Symposium will be the first meeting of a series of educational symposiums in Trieste held under the auspices of the Melanoma World Society (MWS). This multidisciplinary meeting should give an overview of the private and hospital-based management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers. The programs aims to build a bridge between clinical research and daily routine in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma and other forms of skin cancer. The two-day program is designed as multidisciplinary program targeting on private and hospital based dermatologists, medical oncologists, oncologic surgeons and other specialties from different parts of Europe. It provides an practically relevant overview and update on the most recent studies related to dermatologic oncology.
