We are happy to inform you that we will be hosting a live conference in Budapest in 2019. The theme of this year's debate is "Trowel is the latest innovation in the latest patient care techniques", which provides an international space for discussing current and future challenges. Topics concerning the basic research, namely the cellular mechanisms of energy conversion, adipose tissue and muscle metabolism, as well as the pathophysiology of the metabolic syndrome, will be treated in depth. Concerning the clinical aspects, special attention will be paid to the increasing prevalence of obesity in the former Eastern Europe and to the integration of Eastern Europeans into the current projects on obesity research, prevention and management.
