On behalf of the EADV Fostering Trainee Education in Dermatology & Venereology Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the 5^th edition of the EADV Summer School on Clinical Research & Epidemiology, taking place from 26-30 June 2023 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This course is designed to support research and education in European dermato-venereology and is open to dermatologists, residents and trainees who are interested in conducting research but have not yet undertaken a substantial block of research time. The previous editions in 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018 were a great success with excellent feedback from the participants, and we hope you will be able to join us for this year's event.

The course will cover a range of topics on clinical research and epidemiology, including:  

·         Study design of RCT's and observational research 

·         Evidence-based dermatology and meta-analyses 

·         Using large datasets in genetic/pharmaco-epidemiology and microbiome research 

·         Data management and analyses using SPPS 

·         Interactive journal clubs.  

The aim of the EADV Fostering Trainee Education in Dermatology & Venereology Committee is to promote community, collaboration and exchange between (trainee) dermato-venereologists across Europe.
