A szexuális úton terjedő fertőzések (STI) világszerte, így hazánkban is egyre gyakoribbá váltak, és korhatár nélkül a legkülönfélébb genitalis/extragenitalis formában megnyilvánulhatnak. A prevenció fontosságán túl nem lehet kellőképp hangsúlyozni a korai felismerés jelentőségét, ami egy diagnosztizált STI kórkép esetében a potenciális koinfekciók kivizsgálását is magában foglalja. Nem elhanyagolható járványügyi tényező, hogy a tünetmentes betegek is szerves elemei a fertőzőláncnak, így a felmerülő anamnesztikus/klinikai gyanú alapján a diagnosztikus tesztek mellett a célzott szűrések is elengedhetetlenek. A klasszikus kórokozók mellett újabb és újabb ágensek tűnnek fel STI szerepkörben, amit jól példáz a tavaly kirobbant majomhimlő járvány.

Fentieken túl az alapvető szexuál-egészségügyi ismeretek hiánya, az internetes ismerkedési lehetőségek bővülése és a felelőtlen, alkalmi partnerkapcsolatok is hozzájárulnak a nemi betegségek ugrásszerű növekedéséhez. A WHO becsült adatai alapján akár STI pandémiáról is beszélhetünk, hiszen csak a bakteriális fertőzéseket tekintve, 2020-ban világszerte közel 130 millióan szenvedtek Chlamydia trachomatis-fertőzésben; több mint 80 millióan betegedtek meg gonorrhoeaban, és mintegy 7 millióan szifiliszben.

A horizontális terjedés drámai intenzitása kihat a vertikális, azaz fetalis/neonatalis infekciókra, ami a járványügyi adatokkal alátámasztva többek között a congenitális szifiliszes és Chlamydia trachomatisfertőzött újszülött esetszámot is kedvezőtlenül befolyásolja. 2021-ben tragikus módon 12 hazai congenitalis szifiliszes esetet jelentettek, ami a rendeletileg előírt prenatalis szűrés hiányosságaira világít rá.

Idei Nagygyűlésünk a fentiek szellemében próbálja felölelni azt az igen széles tematikus spektrumot, mely szervesen kapcsolódhat az STI kórképekhez. Az előzetes program is jól példázza, hogy a tanulságos esetismertetések, diagnosztikus aktualitások, klasszikus nemi betegségek tárgyalása mellett összefoglaló előadásokkal és tematikus szekciókkal is készülünk.

A nagy érdeklődésre való tekintettel ismét szervezünk gyakorlati kurzusokat, melyeket elsősorban rezidenseknek, fiatal pályakezdő kollégáknak ajánlunk. Az érdeklődők a venerológiai kivizsgálás és a kezdő/haladó mikroszkópos kenetértékelés népszerű témakörein túl idén egy kolposzkópos alapképzésen, valamint egy proktológiai kurzuson ismerkedhetnek meg a klinikai alapfogalmakkal.
