Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to the 14th Central European Congress of Rheumatology.
After eighteen years, this traditional biannual congress is going to be, for the second time, hosted by the Slovenian Medical Association – Section of Rheumatology. In keeping with the tradition of the CECR, the rheumatologists from the member countries and distinguished international speakers are going to present and discuss their research and clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatologic conditions. The clinically based sessions are going to focus on burning topics chosen by the member scientific societies.
For the first time in the CECR’s history, there will be a dedicated pediatric rheumatology session, a session dedicated to transition of patients from pediatric to adult rheumatologists, and an opportunity for patient organizations to take part. This time, the meeting will be held at Cankarjev dom in the centre of the lovely Christmassy Slovenian capital Ljubljana. Cankarjev dom is a cultural and congress centre named after one of the greatest Slovenian novelists and overlooks the national Parliament.
Alongside the thought-provoking scientific program, we will certainly find time for exchanging views and ideas, successful local practices as well as socializing, strengthening friendships and strategizing further optimization of the delivery of care to our patients in the Central Europe.

Kedves Kollégáink!
A Bethesda Gyermekkórház Fájdalomterápiás Ambulanciájának vezetőjeként fel szeretném hívni a figyelmüket egy nagyon színvonalas jövő évi konferenciára.
Kolléganőmmel, dr. Gyimesi-Szikszai Andreával évek óta kapcsolatban vagyunk a Német Gyermekfájdalom Központtal, a tőlük tanultak fontos bázisát képezik ambulanciánk jelenlegi működésének.
Ez a nagyon lelkes német csapat 2001-től rendez kétévente gyermekfájdalom kongresszust a Ruhr-vidéki Recklinghausenben, amely általában – a továbbképző napot is beleszámítva - 2,5 napon át tart. 2013-tól svájci és osztrák, 2017-től holland kollégák együttműködésével állították össze a programot. A majdnem 1000 résztvevő között orvosokon kívül sok ápolóval, pszichológussal és más szakmák képviselőivel is találkozhatunk. A kb. 80 előadás és műhely témáját illetően nagy hangsúlyt kap a krónikus fájdalom és a palliatív ellátás, alapvetően komplex, bio-pszicho-szociális szemléletmódot közvetítenek, ezzel segítve a gyerekek fájdalmának jobb megértését és rizikóban szegény, de eredményes kezelését. A kongresszus hivatalos nyelve a német, angol nyelvű előadások csak elvétve fordulnak elő.
2019. március 14-16 között lesz a tizedik, jubileumi alkalom. A Központot vezető Zernikow professzor és munkatársai azzal kerestek meg bennünket, hogy szeretnék bővíteni a résztvevő országok listáját és ennek nyomán ránk, magyarokra is gondoltak. Arra kértek bennünket, hogy mérjük fel, mekkora lenne az érdeklődés a magyar kollégák körében a kongresszus iránt.
