We have an exciting and varied programme lined up this year. Hear what experts will be sharing, including:
• Fascinating session on Airway management in special circumstances: ‘Airways at the limits of life’ Dr Kevin Fong (London) and ‘Bombs bayonets and bicycles – trauma and the airway’ Dr Simon Mercer (Liverpool)
• Dr Simon Bricker (Chester) speaking on ‘The unique problems of the obstetric airway: real or imagined?’
• Launch of new ITU guidelines - covering all 4 areas: trauma, obstetric, ITU and extremes of life
• Exciting Debates on: ‘Advanced airway management should be a specialist training module’, and ‘Tried and tested rather than novelty gadgets - a conventional laryngoscope is the weapon of choice for routine first attempt intubation’
Workshops - Wednesday 22 November 2017
Alongside the scientific programme we are offering a ‘hands on’ workshop day providing delegates the opportunity to rotate around 8 stations throughout the day.
Workstations will include:
• Fibreoptic Intubation (FOI) handling skills/Airway simulation
• Awake FOI/preparation
• Supraglottic Airway Devices (SAD) – including FOI via SAD (Plan B)
• Videolaryngoscopy (Plan A)
• Virtual Endoscopy
• Scalpel cricothyroidotomy (Plan D)
• Ultrasound in airway management
• Paediatric airway management.

This new conference to be held in Barcelona, Spain, features an outstanding, internationally renowned faculty who will discuss their up-to-the-minute findings as well as roadmap the 'where to' in identifying novel targets, progressing our understanding of the mechanisms of action of therapeutic interventions, developing improved biomarkers of response to therapy, and overcoming mechanisms of intrinsic and acquired resistance to immunotherapy.
With extensive networking opportunities, this conference will provide an intimate setting for top quality scientific interaction. Reduced registration rates are available to EACR members and five EACR Meeting Bursaries will be awarded.
