The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Szeged, Hungary, is organizing an international conference series on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Albert SzentGyörgyi’s Nobel Prize Award which he received in 1937 for isolating vitamin C and for his research on the Krebs cycle. The event is scheduled to start on 22nd March, 2012 (Thursday) and ends on 25th March 2012 (Sunday).
We are all proud of Albert Szent-Györgyi, a former professor and dean of the Faculty of Medicine and the former rector of the University of Szeged. He is an idol both for lecturers and students, presenting the idea that world famous results can be achieved in Hungary and Szeged.
We hope you will enjoy the conference series on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Albert Szent-Györgyi’s Nobel Prize Award.

Die Viszeralchirurgie hat sich in den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten dramatisch verändert und dieser Prozess ist weiter in vollem Gange.
In dem Bemühen, unseren Patientinnen und Patienten wenig belastende, zugleich aber sichere und effektive Operationsverfahren anbieten zu können und diese ständig weiter zu verbessern, lassen wir nicht nach.
Der operative Zugang zur Bauchhöhle über einen einzigen, im Nabel gelegenen und später kaum mehr sichtbaren Schnitt – Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery – ist eine dieser faszinierenden neuen Möglichkeiten.
Wir beschäftigen uns seit mehreren Jahren mit dieser Technik und haben uns Schritt für Schritt eine Reihe von Indikationen erarbeitet.
Sollten Sie Interesse an dieser Technik haben, sind wir gerne bereit, unsere Erfahrungen mit Ihnen zu teilen. In einem theoretischen Teil werden wir Ihnen das erforderliche Hintergrundwissen vermitteln. Praktisch können Sie an einem ausgefeilten Tiermodell üben.
Der Kurs ist gedacht für Kolleginnen und Kollegen, die über Grundkenntnisse und Grundfertigkeiten in der laparoskopischen Chirurgie verfügen und diese perfektionieren wollen.
