Kedves Kollégák!
A csontritkulás kezelésében az elmúlt 10 évben igen jelentős eredmények születtek. A fejlett világban megállt a törések számának növekedése, Magyarországon 2011-ig a csontritkulás talaján bekövetkezett törések számának csökkenését sikerült elérni. A korábbi csonttörés a törési kockázat növekedésének legpontosabb előrejelzője. Önmagában 2-3-szoros törési kockázat növekedést jelent.
Ennek a problémának megoldására a Magyar Osteoporosis és Osteoarthrológiai Társaság (MOOT) is komoly erőfeszítéseket tett és tesz. A „Tovább Ne Törj” kampánnyal felhívja a figyelmet a törésen átesett betegek problémájára. A Társaság kezdeményezésére, évekig tartó egyeztetést követően, - az illetékes szakhatóság támogatásával - az új gyógyszer finanszírozási protokoll lépett életbe, ami mérföldkövet jelent a már törésen átesettek korrekt szakmai ellátásában.
Nagy öröm számunkra, hogy Társaságunk fiatalodik. Egyre több fiatal szakember kap speciális képzést, kapcsolódik be a betegellátásba. A fiatal kollégák képzésének szervezésére, érdekképviseletére jött létre Dr. Hontvári Lívia vezetésével a Fiatal Oszteológusok Klubja (FOK), akik munkájáról is hallhatnak beszámolót sajtótájékoztatónkon.

As course directors and local hosts, it is our pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the 6th Mayo Clinic Chang Gung Symposium in RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY, which will be held in Munich Germany October 19-22, 2016.
This Symposium has been organized as a collaboration between Mayo Clinic & Chang Gung Memorial Hospital since 2009 and it has become one of the most prestigious and scientifically invigorating meetings in the field of reconstructive surgery. Until now, this Symposium has been held in the USA and Taiwan.
This is the first time the Mayo Clinic Chang Gung Symposium will be held in Europe. Munich is a cosmopolitan city with an exceptional infrastructure. It offers its guests a unique atmosphere and well-known welcoming hospitality. Based on an excellent transportation system the city can be easily reached from anywhere. In 2010, Monocle ranked Munich as the world’s most livable city.
The scientific program will focus on new developments in plastic, reconstructive, craniofacial and aesthetic surgery especially in the multidisciplinary setting of regenerative medicine from diagnosis to state-of-the-art of less invasive treatment approaches. This meeting will offer a great faculty from the fields of reconstructive surgery, craniofacial surgery and for the first time keynote lectures in aesthetic topics giving the platform for scientific exchange and discussion. We would like to present the way to achieve excellence in function and aesthetics through reconstructive surgery.
It is well known that this Symposium offers a great opportunity for all of us to update our knowledge, meet up with friends and colleagues, old and new, and enjoy each other’s company. This is the best occasion to prepare the soil for fruitful scientific co-operation in the field of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
Apart from the exciting scientific schedule, you will certainly have the opportunity to get a taste of Munich’s artistic and cultural richness and exciting concerts, impressive exhibitions, culinary delights, sports events and excellent shopping. There is more to Munich than meets the eye!
We look forward to spending some inspiring days with you.

| Minimally-invasive treatments of the Thyroid and Save the Thyroid Course 2024 (Milan, Italy – February, 15th -16th 2024) |
Rendezvény kezdete: 2024.02.15. | Rendezvény vége: 2024.02.16. |
| Helyszín: Italy, Milan, |
Minimally Invasive Thyroid Treatments (MITT) are increasingly applied in the clinical practice all over Europe for the treatment for benign and malignant thyroid diseases.
The MITT group has been founded in 2018 in Italy, to promote multidisciplinary partnership among physicians with different expertise who share the interest in MITT and to improve the clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic management of benign and malignant thyroid and parathyroid glands diseases.
During the 2024 MITT meeting, the present guidelines on both benign and malignant thyroid disease management will be presented, and the most widely used techniques for ablation will be presented by renowned experts in the field. Also, the most updated evidence on the application of MITT in benign thyroid nodules, autonomously functioning thyroid nodules, and malignant tumours will be illustrated. Furthermore, a series of real-life clinical cases will be presented and discussed between the expert panel and the participants. During the second day, the organization of a thyroid ablation clinical practice will be discussed, with particular focus on preoperative and postoperative patients’ management, possible type of anaesthesia, with the discussion of a video-recorded treatment. In the end, a series of “hot topics” on minimally invasive treatments of the thyroid will be presented and discussed with the participants, including treatment of parathyroid adenomas, complications of MITT and their management, and the problem of nodule regrowth.
Hands-on workshops will also be available at the end of the meeting for those who will want to try the different available technologies and techniques on dedicated phantoms.
