2017. április 6-8-a között "Utrasound Meets Cytology - A Practical Course on the Manegement of Nodular Goiter" címmel egy 20 órás nemzetközi kurzust szervezünk Mátraházán, a Lifestyle Hotelben az Európai Pajzsmirigy Társaság támogatásával.
A továbbképzés a pajzsmirigy ultrahang és citológia gyakorlati megvalósítására fókuszál. Így élő betegen történő ultrahang-vizsgálatra, a mintavétel modellen történő gyakorlására is lesz lehetőség. A kimerítő mikroszkópos gyakorlat alapja pedig egy 50,000 esetből történő válogatás. A szakmai anyagból ízelítőt mutat be a www.thyrosite.com. Itt egy havonta frissülő quiz-játékra invitáljuk az érdeklődőket. A játék két nyertese 200-200 Euro visszatérítést kap a részvételi díjból.
A pajzsmirigy szakma vezető nemzetközi előadói fogadták el a meghívást. Az előadásokon többek között a molekuláris biológia, a sebészeti eljárást kiváltó alternatívákról és a Bethesda-rendszer gyakorlati alkalmazásáról is naprakész ismeretekre lehet szert tenni. Kevésbé gyakorlott kollégák számára egy előzetes internetes továbbképzésre lesz lehetőség a pajzsmirigy ultrahang és -citológia területén.
A résztvevők száma 50 főben limitált. Ez egyrészt - reményeink szerint - szokatlanul barátságos és közvetlen légkört tesz lehetővé a résztvevők és a kurzus egész időtartama alatt jelen lévő előadók között. Másrészt az érdeklődők számára a korai regisztráció megfontolandó.

Like previous meetings, there is a high quality scientific program related to research in Basic and Clinic areas in Hypertension, State-of-the-Art Lectures, Satellite Symposia, Breakfast Workshops, Working Groups sessions and credits for qualifying as Hypertension Specialists of the European Society of Hypertension.
Hypertension has become the number one cause of death in the world according to a WHO supported investigation. Despite the many scientific advances of the past few decades, much work remains to be done. Although we all do our best to reduce coronary heart disease, stroke, heart failure and cardiovascular complications, diabetes and obesity continue to increase worldwide. Primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases require a global approach of the cardiovascular risk, and an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms of hypertension. |

The scientific programme will continue the tradition of the many ESH meetings which have been held in the past. That is, a large portion of the programme will be devoted to oral and poster presentations which will be selected from the abstracts submitted by the participants, based on the assessment of several expert reviewers per abstract.
The programme will also include:
1) State-of-the-Art Lectures, Debates and Round Tables to complement presentations of original research with views of topics of basic and clinical interest from worldwide authorities in hypertension
2) Satellite Symposia organized by Drug Industry, which will be held in the days before, after and during (evening) the main meeting, allow more specific information on new treatments of hypertension and related cardiovascular diseases to be presented and discussed
3) Breakfast Workshops and scientific sessions organized by the Working Groups of ESH and presentations, in separate sessions, of the research activities of Young European investigators and
4) Teaching Sessions focused on aspects of more practical interest and on clinical cases aimed more specifically at physicians interested in becoming European Hypertension Specialists. Several How-to Sessions aimed at presenting and discussing practical aspects of methods to be used in the initial and subsequent management of hypertension and cardiovascular risk will also be included in the programme, using a format that will allow a limited number of attendees to interact with the expert. |
