It is our great pleasure to announce that the 18th Congress of the Balkan Society of Radiology, BCR, will be held this year in Hotel M, Belgrade, October 19-20, 2023.

The most distinguished lecturers from the region will present the state of the art in different areas of their expertise.
This year focus is:
Prostate carcinoma - clinical aspect, diagnosis, therapy, what radiologist should know;
Interventional radiology - treatment of liver tumors, with interactive case presentation, from the aspect of surgeon and radiologist;
Lung carcinoma - different diagnostic modalities with interactive case presentation
Also, there are going to be oral presentations, poster presentations as well as educational exhibit.
In the following weeks, you can find more information on details regarding the program using the website of the BCR 2023.
On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, there is going to be the European School of Radiology Professorship Program, on neuroradiology, this year. Experts in neuroradiology will give lectures on selected topics, followed by workshops during which the most interesting cases from clinical practice are going to be discussed.

A SZAB Hypertonia és Nephrologiai Munkabizottsága online megszervezi a Szegedi Nephrologiai Klinikopathológiai Esetbemutatások 41. évfolyamának 2. ülését, melyre tisztelettel meghívjuk.
Három esetet fogunk prezentálni:
1. 53 éves férfi. Bx RPGN, renopulmonalis szindróma miatt. ANA, ANCA, anti-GBM antitestekre negatív. (referálják: Dr. Bitó László, Dr. Turkevi-Nagy Sándor).
2. 68 éves férfi. Bx heveny veseelégtelenség, proteinuria (1,9 g/nap), mikrohaematuria, utóbbi hetekben vérnyomáskiugrások, régebb óta barnás köpet miatt. Pozitív anti-GBM és MPO-ANCA ELISA. (referálják: Dr. Fejes Imola, Prof. Iványi Béla).
3. 54 éves nő. Bx Nefrózis szindróma, mikrohaematuria, anaemia miatt. 9 éve ismert a hypertoniája. (referálják: Dr. Bitó László, Dr. Turkevi-Nagy Sándor).

Kedves Kollégák, kedves Hallgatók, kedves immunológia iránt érdeklődők!
A Magyar Immunológiai Társaság hagyományosan évről évre megrendezi vándorgyűlését, amely kiemelkedően fontos esemény a Társaság életében. A találkozókon egy-egy időszerűnek ítélt témában a szakterület elismert hazai és külföldi felkért előadói tartanak átfogó előadásokat. Mindemellett, a vándorgyűlések talán legfontosabb része a hazai immunológiai kutatóműhelyek seregszemléje, az elmúlt év során elért kutatási eredmények előadások és poszterek formájában történő bemutatása. A hazai immunológusok vagy immunológiával összefüggő kutató-gyógyító munkát végzők közössége a vándorgyűlésen az ismeretszerzésen túl lehetőséget kap személyes találkozásra, szakmai kapcsolatok kialakítására vagy erősítésére és a konferenciát támogató cégek képviselőivel való párbeszédre is.
Örömmel jelentjük be, hogy a Magyar Immunológiai Társaság 2023. október 18-20. között Kecskeméten 52. alkalommal rendezi meg vándorgyűlését. Szeretettel hívjuk és várjuk Önt és munkatársait erre a rendezvényre, amelyet hagyományainkhoz hűen magas szakmai színvonal és baráti, konstruktív légkör jellemez.
Az 52. MIT Vándorgyűlés kiemelt transzlációs témái a kinázgátlás és a kiméra antigén receptorral rendelkező immunsejtek terápiás alkalmazási lehetőségei lesznek. Elméleti immunológiai témában pedig Jason Cyster (University of California, San Francisco, USA) tart keynote-előadást.
A Vándorgyűlés nyelve angol lesz. Az absztraktokat is angol nyelven várjuk.

Minimally Invasive Thyroid Treatments (MITT) are increasingly applied in the clinical practice all over Europe for the treatment for benign and malignant thyroid diseases.
The MITT group has been founded in 2018 in Italy, to promote multidisciplinary partnership among physicians with different expertise who share the interest in MITT and to improve the clinical, diagnostic, and therapeutic management of benign and malignant thyroid and parathyroid glands diseases.
During the 2024 MITT meeting, the present guidelines on both benign and malignant thyroid disease management will be presented, and the most widely used techniques for ablation will be presented by renowned experts in the field. Also, the most updated evidence on the application of MITT in benign thyroid nodules, autonomously functioning thyroid nodules, and malignant tumours will be illustrated.
Furthermore, a series of real-life clinical cases will be presented and discussed between the expert panel and the participants.
During the second day, the organization of a thyroid ablation clinical practice will be discussed, with particular focus on preoperative and postoperative patients’ management, possible type of anaesthesia, with the discussion of a video-recorded treatment.
In the end, a series of “hot topics” on minimally invasive treatments of the thyroid will be presented and discussed with the participants, including treatment of parathyroid adenomas, complications of MITT and their management, and the problem of nodule regrowth.
Hands-on workshops will also be available at the end of the meeting for those who will want to try the different available technologies and techniques on dedicated phantoms.
