Az idei konferencia első napján a fő téma, a „Terápiás ellenanyagok fejlesztése és alkalmazása” lesz. Ennek keretén belül az idei EFIS Lecture Award előadást Fritz Melchers tartja, melynek címe: “History of the concept, the discovery, the invention and the translation of monoclonal antibodies”. A következő két napon a hazai immunológiai műhelyek mutatják be legfrissebb eredményeiket; idén elsősorban a fiatal kollégák előadásaira számítunk. A MIT 43. It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 35th European Symposium on Calcified Tissues, to be held in the exciting city of Barcelona, Spain, from 24-28 May 2008.
The 2008 meeting will offer a high quality scientific programme of interest to both clinical and basic scientists.

AWARDS AND GRANTS:
There will be three different categories of award for those intending to submit abstracts:
1. YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARDS
These will be awarded to the highest scoring eligible authors and will be presented during an awards ceremony at the meeting.
2. TRAVEL GRANTS
The next level of awards, again based on abstract submissions from eligible authors.
3. POSTER PRIZES
For the first time at an ECTS meeting, there will also be a number of Poster Prizes, to be judged at the meeting.

From May 24 - 27, 2008, the "9th European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery - First ESTES Congress" will take place in Budapest, Hungary.
This will be the first congress after the merger in May 2007 of two of Europe's largest trauma societies - ETS (European Trauma Society) and EATES (European Association for Trauma and Emergency Surgery) into ESTES - the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery. With more than 5000 members and the support of several national trauma societies, ESTES is capable of significantly influencing the development and improvement of standards of trauma and emergency surgery in Europe.

On behalf of the Local Scientific and Organising Committee, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 26th Annual ESPID Meeting, to be held May 13-16, 2008 in Graz, Austria.
We are very happy to have the opportunity to host the ESPID meeting for the first time in our country.
The main topic of the conference is “Viral Infections”. It is our intention to provide you with an interesting and high quality Scientific Program discussing epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and clinical presentation of important diseases. Original contributions by clinicians as well as researchers are highly welcome.
