Szakterület(ek): Aneszteziológia, intenzív terápia Helyszín: Budapest, A tüdőt és a mellkast érintő betegségekkel az intenzív betegellátásban, az anesztéziában és a sürgősségi ellátásban is gyakorta találkozhatunk. Ezen kórképek egy része mint szövődmény, kísérőbetegség fordul elő, míg mások a kritikus állapot okai is lehetnek. A tüdő nem csak a gázcsere elengedhetetlen része, hanem, mint a legkisebb kapilláris-átmérővel rendelkező szerv, az immunitás és immunreakciók, a trombotikus és keringési zavarok predilekciós szerve is. Bármilyen kis eltérés komplex patológiai folyamatokat indíthat meg. A tüdő funkcióját nem csupán a gázcsere szempontjából értékeljük, hanem mindig a szervezet egyéb funkcióival együtt komplex módon kell vizsgálnunk. Bármilyen pulmonális eltérés visszaköszön a többi szervek funkciójában, és bármelyik szerv eltérése nyomon követhető a tüdő funkciójában.
