We are proud to announce that the 7th World Congress on Controversies to Consensus in Diabetes, Obesity and Hypertension (CODHy) will take place in Sorrento, Italy, April 11-13, 2019.
Academically, the 7th World CODHy Congress will raise the most dynamic and controversial topics facing clinicians in the fields of Diabetes, Obesity and Hypertension in an exciting debate forum. The Congress will promote excellence in these fields by seeking to shed light on ongoing and challenging debates and to bridge gaps between the expansion of information and its consolidation in clinical practice.
Allowing ample time for speaker-audience discussion, the Congress aims at reaching up-to-date and agreed-upon answers to ongoing debates even when data remains limited, through evidence-based medicine and expert opinion. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in this vibrant meeting which will facilitate discussions on the shared experiences and opinions of leading local and international experts. A Magyar Plasztikai Helyreállító és Esztétikai Sebész Társaság és a Szegedi Tudományegyetem közös szervezésében 2019.04.11-13-ig megrendezni kívánjuk az ISAPS Visiting Professor program keretében Dr. Gianluca Campiglio MD, PhD, ISAPS Vice President látogatását és előadások tartását hazánkban.
A látogatás mind az egyetemisták, mind a plasztikai sebész rezidensek, mind a plasztikai sebész kollégák továbbképzését szolgálja.
A program keretében az oktatásra és az élő sebészeti bemutatókra összpontosítanánk a figyelmet. Az oktatás keretében nemcsak a magyar egyetemisták, de a hazánkban tanuló külföldi hallgatók képzését is biztosítanánk.
A program zárónapját Gödöllőn tartanánk a Kastély Hotelben, ahol a bevezető előadásokat követően tartanánk éves rendes közgyűlésünket.

ORPHAN EUROPE ACADEMY 2010 COURSE
ADVANCED EDUCATION ON RARE DISORDERS
Early diagnosis and management of newborns and infants with inherited metabolic disorders is essential to the affected children’s outcome. However the quick and correct recognition of specific inherited metabolic disease in neonates is a challenge for neonatologists. It may be difficult, especially in critically ill neonates, to distinguish between the primary genetically encoded metabolic disorder and the secondary metabolic disturbances resulting in similar clinical picture.
This practical course is run by an experienced team of paediatricians, neonatologists, molecular biologists and biochemists specialised in metabolic medicine, who already contributed substantially to the understanding of metabolic disorders in childhood. The two and a half days course includes lectures and seminars for 35 participants. The course is aimed at paediatricians with about 2-3 years clinical experience in the neonatology field.
Learning objectives:
• Appreciation of clinical situations leading to the suspicion of an IEM.
• Awareness of emergency investigations and the use of specialised laboratory services.
• Awareness of metabolic causes of neonatal encephalopathy, cardiomyopathy, liver disease, hypoglycaemia, mitochondrial disorders and dysmorphic syndromes.
• Understand treatment and management options of critically ill newborns with inborn errors.
• Practical application of theory - participants are strongly encouraged to submit a case study from their own experience.
