Az elmúlt pár hónapban a SARS-CoV-2 pándémia jelentősen átformálta a minket körbevevő világot. Bár a modern társadalom és medicina élete a tudomány vívmányainak köszönhetően annyira felgyorsult, hogy mi sem állandóbb benne, mint a változás, egy ilyen fokú átalakulás viszont már feszegeti alkalmazkodó képességünk határait és feszültséget, félelmet szülhet. A félelem gyakran az ismeretek hiánya, az ismeretlen és nem kiszámítható helyzettel megbirkózás képességében való kételkedés. Ennek a hiánynak, bizonytalanságnak az egyik leghatékonyabb terápiája a tudás fejlesztése, a biztonságot és alkalmazkodást megteremtő ismeretanyag megszerzése. Éppen ezért fontos, hogy olyan időszakban, amikor energiáinkat látszólag teljesen lemerítheti az adott helyzettel való birkózás, helyet és lehetőséget adjunk a tudás fejlesztésének, a továbbképzéseknek. A változás és a változáshoz történő adaptálódás a fejlődés, tájékozódás és tájékozottá válás, a belső motiváció fenntartásának lehetősége.

2020-ban a Semmelweis Egyetem Aneszteziológiai és Intenzív Terápiás Klinika szervezésében 10.alkalommal került volna sor a SIASTOK (Sürgősségi, Intenzív Terápiás, Aneszteziológiai Szakterületek és Társszakmák Országos Konferenciája) és az 5. alkalommal a SzVITA (Szakmai Vándorgyűlés Intenzív Terápiás és Aneszteziológiai Szakdolgozóknak) megrendezésére. A megszokottan több mint 700 fős tavaszi kongresszus idén biztonsági okokból halasztva, októberben, online, koncentrált formában kerül megrendezésre. A mottó most is teljesül, magas szaktudású előadóink csapatmunkájának és összedolgozásának köszönhetően színvonalas, hasznos és új információkban bővelkedő programot sikerül prezentálni. The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) brings us together around major global health issues. It gives a voice to actors from the field and bridges them with policy-makers present in Geneva. It gives visibility to innovative, accessible and sustainable practices and tools and to important initiatives. After more than 15 years of existence, the GHF has become a crucial event in the field of global health.

For its ninth edition, which will take place from 3^rd to 5^th May 2022, the Geneva Health Forum will address crucial issues for our future. Under the theme “Covid-19 Pandemic and Environmental Emergency: Reinventing Global Health in Times of Global Changes”, the GHF will help us learn the lessons from the Covid-19 crisis and better understand the impact of environmental degradation on human health.

Indeed, the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted our fragility as societies in the face of zoonoses, diseases that appear in the animal world and that can spread to human beings. Biodiversity loss and fragile ecosystems are factors that worsen this risk. Pollution and climate change are already having an impact on our health.

One thing is clear: our health is intrinsically linked to the health of the environment and global health must be revisited in the light of these implications. A paradigm shift is needed.

The Geneva Health Forum will provide a platform to help us better understand these issues and discover initiatives that can offer possible solutions.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Congress of the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) is now a very well established scientific meeting, and has participants not only from Europe, but from all continents of the world. It is the largest congress in dermato-oncology and there are no competing congresses in this field.

The 18th EADO Congresswill be hosted in the amazing city of Seville, Spain and will be a hybrid event comprising both an in-person conference and a virtual conference. We believe it will be one of the first congresses where face-to-face meetings will once again be possible.

Each EADO congress brings with it a special area of emphasis and Seville has a clinical focus on both the early diagnosis of skin cancer and dermatosurgery as part of the integral approach to skin cancer patients. Consequently, the promising therapeutic landscape that the increasingly conservative surgery and the latest breakthroughs in immunotherapy and targeted therapy bring to skin cancer patients will be comprehensively discussed in Seville, with also special attention to dermoscopy and other diagnostic technologies.

Compared to previous congresses, there is a balanced offering of topics on melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.

The best experts worldwide have been invited as speakers and will offer you the opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into all areas of dermato-oncology.
