It is our pleasure to invite you to Vichy on the occasion of the 31st European Childhood Obesity Group (ECOG 2022) congress. ECOG 2022 will take place from the 2nd to the 4th of November in Vichy, a city bursting with a wide choice of world class attractions, legendary music and culture and worldwide renowned thermal baths. This year’s congress aims to bring together childhood obesity experts and young scientists from across Europe.

The scientific programme will approach the multidisciplinary nature of childhood obesity prevention and treatment, giving the floor to some of the finest experts in policies and management strategies, dietary interventions, appetite and eating behaviours, pharmacological strategies as well and family programs and general physiology and metabolism. In addition, international associations such as the World Health Organization and the European Association for the Study of Obesity will animate and lead specific sessions.

ECOG 2022 will be an excellent opportunity to meet, discuss and share information and experiences with like-minded colleagues. It will be the perfect occasion for practitioners to share the experiences and enrich their career and for early career students and scientists to take their first step in the field, guided by international experts and mentors.

In the following months, we will provide you with more information about: ECOG board and ECOG 2022 scientific and organising committees, scientific and social programmes, congress venue and accommodations, registration forms and fees.

Következő rendezvényünkre várunk mindenkit. A 2019-ben kezdődő MAÉT ORSZÁGJÁRÁS PROGRAM Zárórendezvényére 2022. október 29-én kerül sor, amelynek helyszíne Ensana Thermal & Grand Hotel, Margitsziget. A tudományos ülésen az artériás és vénás betegségek diagnosztikájával, terápiájával kapcsolatos legújabb eredmények bemutatásán túl pódiumbeszélgetések során tárgyaljuk a budapesti és pest megyei ellátás sajátosságait, valamint keressük az érgyógyászat stratégiai kérdéseit és azok lehetséges megoldásait.

The World Congress of Psychiatry will take place in Vienna, Austria from September 28 until October 1, 2023. Numerous symposia, panel discussions, state-of-the-art sessions and lectures will be offered. The program will be exciting as we will be discussing the latest developments in the field in a pandemic and post-pandemic era. All aspects of psychiatry such as psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, psychopathology, rehabilitation, social psychiatry, old-age psychiatry or child-adolescent psychiatry will be covered. Beside the scientific program, this congress will give the opportunity to discuss the most recent developments for psychiatry all over the world. Trainees in psychiatry will be invited to meet international experts and meet their colleagues.

TRAVEL AWARDS

The WPA has announced Travel Awards for Trainee Psychiatrists and Medical Students to attend the World Congress of Psychiatry. There are two separate prestigious awards, one for all trainees in psychiatry and one for all medical students.

The award for the Trainee Psychiatrists asks candidates to submit an essay of 3000-5000 words (including references) on this topic “Climate Change, Urbanisation, Air Pollution, Natural Disasters: global challenges for mental health, resilience, and recovery”. Details can be found here: Link

Whereas the award for the Medical Students invites applicants to submit an essay of up to 750 words on the theme “The Interface of Physical and Mental Health”. Details can be found here: Link

Both travel fellowship awards offer the successful candidates USD $2000, which will cover the travel, accommodation and registration fee costs to attend WCP23 in Vienna. The winners will also be acknowledged at WPA Annual Conference in Vienna.

The scientific program will focus on current events and clinical practice. The topics covered will be numerous and varied: contact allergies, urticaria, atopic dermatitis, occupational allergies. We will also deal with toxidermia and its after-effects, mast cell disorders as well as the ocular effects of atopy.

For the first time, a forum for nurses, young (and not so young) allergists will be proposed in advance in order to exchange with conviviality on the practices of allergological tests and the organizations of the allergology units.

This course will take place at the Kindarena in Rouen which is located on the banks of the Seine and near the city center. This will allow you to discover Rouen, nicknamed "the city of a hundred steeples", its " Big Clock ", its half-timbered houses, its historical center, a real open-air museum, and of course its cathedral which inspired the impressionist painter Claude Monet.
