A VIKOTE és a Semmelweis Egyetem Klinikai Pszichológia Tanszéke közös Továbbképzési Tanfolyamot szervez Asszertív (szociális kompetencia) tréning segítő hivatású szakemberek számára címmel.

A szociális kompetencia az egyénnek az a képessége, hogy a szociális kapcsolatok terén felmerülő legkülönfélébb problémákat oly módon kezeli, hogy közben a kapcsolat fenntartására, megőrzésére törekszik. A szociális készségfejlesztő tréning rendkívül hatékonyan felhasználható a legkülönfélébb pszichés problémákkal küzdő személyek kapcsolati problémáinak kezelésében, valamint egészséges személyek számára is hasznos lehet. A tréning célja, hogy a résztvevők megtanulják megkülönböztetni a társas viselkedés négy alapformáját: a passzív, az agresszív, a passzív-agresszív és az asszertív viselkedést, visszajelzést kapjanak saját viselkedésük másokra gyakorolt hatásáról, fejlődjenek a segítő hivatás szerepköréhez tartozó kommunikációs készségekben és szociális kompetenciában, képesek legyenek hatékonyan kezelni az indulataikat.

A képzés várható pozitív hatása a személyes hatékonyság és a kommunikációs készségek fejlődésén túlmenően az, hogy a résztvevők alkalmazni tudják a tanultakat kapcsolati problémákkal, szorongásos zavarokkal küzdő neurotikus és hiányos szociális készségekkel rendelkező pszichotikus páciensekkel.

A képzés interaktív jellegű, a résztvevők aktív részvételén alapul. Az elméleti bevezetést helyzetgyakorlatokon alapuló szociális kompetenciát fejlesztő, szisztematikus tréning követi, melynek során a cél az egyes készségek begyakorlása (pozitív érzelmek, negatív indulatok kifejezése, kritika kezelése, nemet mondás, kompromisszumkötés, stb.)
