A megemlékezést a Magyar Nephrologiai Társaság (MANET) 2012-ben kezdeményezte azzal a céllal, hogy hagyományt teremtsenek, és Korányi Sándor halálának évfordulóján minden évben megtartsák a Magyar Nephrologia Emléknapját.
Ideje: 2015. április 12. (vasárnap) 11. óra
Helye: Budapest, fiumei úti Nemzeti Sírkert Panteonja, Korányi sírjánál.
