Access Resources for Kidney Patients! AAKP proudly recognizes October 19–25 as National Infection Prevention Week, reaffirming our commitment to protecting kidney patients, caregivers, and the professionals who serve them. Infections remain a leading cause of hospitalization and complications for people living with kidney disease, but simple actions—consistent hand hygiene, staying current on recommended vaccinations, safe catheter and access care, proper environmental cleaning, and staying home when ill—saves lives. All week, AAKP will share educational resources, patient voices, and practical tips. AAKP's Infection Prevention Web Page Featured Resources:
