The intention of the 2nd World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) is to function as an exclusive forum for international experts to share and compare experiences, in order to outline appropriate treatment. A congress that focuses on clinical controversies is an entirely new concept. It is embarked upon primarily to facilitate effective debate on unresolved clinical and therapeutic dilemmas.
After each speaker, ample time will be provided for discussion, and participants will have the advantage of conversing and debating unresolved issues with world authorities in their fields. A korábbi hagyományoknak megfelelően az egyik kiemelt téma a hazai tbc-s helyzet lesz, amelyen belül külön foglalkozunk a multidrog rezisztens megbetegedések problémakörével, valamint a hajléktalan tbc-sek kiemelésével, kezelésével és gondozásával. Mindhárom előadásra e témákat jól ismerő, országosan elismert előadókat sikerült meghívnunk.
A másik központi téma a pneumoniák aktuális kérdései. E témakörben az Országos Korányi Tbc és Pulmonológiai Intézet professzora, a DEOC Tüdőklinika vezetője és a pneumoniák kezelésében ugyancsak nagy jártassággal rendelkező munkatársa vállalt előadást.

The congress is held under the auspices of the International Atherosclerosis Society.
Multiple risk factors management is a critical area in cardiovascular prevention and therapy. The aim of the symposium is to offer an integrated view of the new approaches now prevailing which include combined control of lipid disorders, hypertension, thrombosis, and diabetes, and the increasing use of polytherapy to reduce global cardiovascular risk. The meeting will also provide practical answers to the health care professionals who are often confronted with selecting either a single risk factor for treatment or treating several risk factors simultaneously and with which priority. The concept of the “global patient” and of “personalized medicine” will be presented and discussed and much attention will also be devoted to health economic issues.
