2006-ban rendeztük az első hazai evészavar kongresszust, amelyet két év múlva követett a második. Továbbra is tartjuk a kétéves ritmust, azaz 2010. szeptemberében a harmadik rendezvényre kerül sor. Örömteli meglepetés volt mindkét alkalommal a részt vevők nagy száma és érdeklődése. A tudományos program színvonala magas volt, mindegyik alkalommal két külföldi vendéget is meghívtunk plenáris előadásra. Ezúttal Rachel Bryant-Waugh, kitűnő londoni gyermek pszichiáter és Eric van Furth (Hága), az Academy of Eating Disorders nevű tudományos szervezet elnöke lesz a vendégünk.

Az evés zavarai iránt változatlanul fokozódik az érdeklődés. Mind több kutatási beszámolót hallunk a különböző szakmai rendezvényeken, sok fiatal választja ezt a témakört egyetemi szakdolgozatok tárgyául. Ahogy csökken az európai határok jelentősége, úgy szaporodnak a nemzetközi együtt mûködések is.

A kongresszus szervezése, illetve hagyományainak folytatása mellett szól a médiumok érdeklődése: a nagyközönség ki van éhezve (hogy stílusosak legyünk...) az evés - zavarokról szóló információk megszerzésére. Ezt a kíváncsiságot a pszichoedukáció jegyében ki kell elégítenünk, mégpedig hiteles szakmai tájékoztatással.
Öröm számunkra, hogy a téma multidiszciplináris jellegénél fogva számos szakterület képviselői eljöttek eddigi rendez vényeinkre. A betegek kezelésében ez a komplex szemlélet segít a legtöbbet – az összefogásban bízhatunk.

The Geneva Health Forum (GHF) brings us together around major global health issues. It gives a voice to actors from the field and bridges them with policy-makers present in Geneva. It gives visibility to innovative, accessible and sustainable practices and tools and to important initiatives. After more than 15 years of existence, the GHF has become a crucial event in the field of global health.

For its ninth edition, which will take place from 3^rd to 5^th May 2022, the Geneva Health Forum will address crucial issues for our future. Under the theme “Covid-19 Pandemic and Environmental Emergency: Reinventing Global Health in Times of Global Changes”, the GHF will help us learn the lessons from the Covid-19 crisis and better understand the impact of environmental degradation on human health.

Indeed, the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted our fragility as societies in the face of zoonoses, diseases that appear in the animal world and that can spread to human beings. Biodiversity loss and fragile ecosystems are factors that worsen this risk. Pollution and climate change are already having an impact on our health.

One thing is clear: our health is intrinsically linked to the health of the environment and global health must be revisited in the light of these implications. A paradigm shift is needed.

The Geneva Health Forum will provide a platform to help us better understand these issues and discover initiatives that can offer possible solutions.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The Congress of the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) is now a very well established scientific meeting, and has participants not only from Europe, but from all continents of the world. It is the largest congress in dermato-oncology and there are no competing congresses in this field.

The 18th EADO Congresswill be hosted in the amazing city of Seville, Spain and will be a hybrid event comprising both an in-person conference and a virtual conference. We believe it will be one of the first congresses where face-to-face meetings will once again be possible.

Each EADO congress brings with it a special area of emphasis and Seville has a clinical focus on both the early diagnosis of skin cancer and dermatosurgery as part of the integral approach to skin cancer patients. Consequently, the promising therapeutic landscape that the increasingly conservative surgery and the latest breakthroughs in immunotherapy and targeted therapy bring to skin cancer patients will be comprehensively discussed in Seville, with also special attention to dermoscopy and other diagnostic technologies.

Compared to previous congresses, there is a balanced offering of topics on melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer.
