Sajnálattal tudatjuk, hogy a hazánkat is elérő COVID-19 járvány miatt az MKT Elnöksége határozatot hozott a májusra tervezett MKT Kongresszus és az áprilisra tervezett Ifjúsági Kardiológiai Napok elhalasztásáról. Ezeket a döntéseket a jelen helyzetben aligha kell indokolnunk, most még az anyagi veszteségek minimalizálhatók.

Határoztunk arról is, hogy f. év november 11-14-én Balatonfüreden rendezzük meg a Kongresszust, aminek programja tartalmazza majd a májusira elfogadott tudományos absztraktokat, ipari és munkacsoport szimpózium tervezeteket. A késői időpontot a balatonfüredi szállodák kapacitás helyzete indokolja, remélhetően a járvány akkorra már nem lesz befolyásoló tényező.

Az Ifjúsági Kardiológiai Napok esetleges későbbi megrendezéséről hasonló konkrét elképzelést egyelőre nem tudtunk megfogalmazni de tudatában vagyunk annak, hogy az IFKAN szintén nagyon fontos, a fiatalok és mindannyiunk által kedvelt rendezvény, aminek az év későbbi hónapjaiban történő megtartását szintén támogatnánk, amennyiben a várhatóan nagyon zsúfolt kongresszusi naptár erre lehetőséget nyújt.
