As in the tradition of the SSC meetings, free access will be offered to the 20 existing Subcommittees and Working Groups, where the most qualified experts will discuss the hot topics in the field of thrombosis, hemostasis and vascular biology. Attention will be focused on nomenclature, standardization, emerging laboratory techniques and methodological approaches, including the most debated diagnostic and therapeutical strategies, in order to create a consensus on future research directions. In addition to the SSC sessions, several scientific, educational and satellite symposia devoted to the pathophysiology and management of thrombosis, hemophilia and other hemostatic disorders will be organized.
