WELCOME TO THE PSORIASIS: FROM GENE TO CLINIC WEBSITE Psoriasis: from Gene to Clinic is the premier global meeting addressing the long-term skin condition psoriasis which in 2014 was recognised by the World Health Organization as ‘a serious noncommunicable disease’. Considerable progress has been made over recent years. Our understanding of the biology of psoriasis, particularly genetics and immunology, has led to a revolution in targeted therapies and patient outcomes. But many issues remain to be tackled to ensure that care is optimised for all and we can move from disease treatment to prevention. Such issues include impact of diversity, lifestyle and interpersonal variation in disease causes and response to medicines. Building on the success of our previous International Congresses held every three years since 1996, Psoriasis: from Gene to Clinic is designed to provide a forum for experts from around the world to present and discuss cutting edge issues relating to the science of psoriasis and its clinical management. Delegates are anticipated to include clinicians, scientists and members of the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
