A tanfolyam célja, hogy megismertesse a résztvevőkkel a kognitív viselkedésterápia – más néven magatartásterápia – alapfogalmait és leggyakrabban alkalmazott módszereit. A mentális problémák korszerű megközelítése magában foglalja az ún. bizonyítékon alapuló orvoslást, amely olyan gyógyító eljárások alkalmazását és elterjedését jelenti, amelyeknek hatékonyságát kutatások támasztják alá. Ennek köszönhető a kognitív terápia gyors elterjedése is a különféle szorongásos zavarok, pszichés problémák illetve depresszió területén.

Tematika: A kognitív terápia története, hasonlóságok és különbségek más pszichoterápiás irányzatokkal összevetve. Elméleti háttér. Alapfogalmak. Kísérleti bizonyítékok. A szorongásos megbetegedések kognitív modellje. A depresszió kognitív modellje. A kognitív terápia jellegzetességei. Kognitív torzítások. Kognitív átstrukturálás. Eset konceptualizálás.

A képzés fő jellemzője, hogy az elméleti előadásokat aktív részvételen, saját élményeken alapuló helyzetgyakorlatok kísérik. Ezt esetmegbeszélések egészítik ki. Olyan résztvevők jelentkezését várjuk, akik a pszichoterápiás helyzet és kommunikáció alapfogalmaival tisztában vannak és munkájuk során pszichológiai tanácsadást, lelki gondozást, lelki elsősegélyt vagy pszichoterápiát végeznek.
