Message from the President

Dear Friends!

It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to the 14th European SICOT Trainees'Meeting this year in Budapest. The topics of the meeting give us the chance to update our knowledge on the most important fields of orthopaedics and trauma surgery in childhood.

It is our sincere hope that many trainees from different parts of Europe will attend our meeting. In addition to assessing the professional qualities of the lectures there will also be a variety of social events including a boat cruise on the Danube to experience the beauties of Budapest and to complete the professional discussion while having some pleasant wine tasting and friendly conversation.

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Budapest in 2005.

• Tumors and trauma in childhood: Supracondylar humeral - Femoral neck - Forearm fractures
• Physeal lesions
• Paediatric orthopaedics (except CDH)

Call for abstracts

Instructions for abstract submission:

• abstracts should be submitted on-line via this page
• no faxed submissions will be accepted.
• no paper or e-mail submissions will be accepted, unless the author(s) formally discharge SICOT from any responsibility for errors or omissions in the transcription of their abstract in the SICOT system.
• if they encounter difficulties author(s) may request assistance by sending an e-mail to: hq@sicot.org or by contacting the Trainees' Meeting Organising Committee by e-mail or by post or by sending an e-mail to the Congress Bureau (see addresses below).
• presenting authors may submit an unlimited number of abstracts, however a maximum of two abstracts will be accepted for presentation.
• presenting authors are required to complete the mandatory fields of the on line abstract form in order to make a valid submission.
• once an abstract has been successfully submitted, the submitter will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of the abstract, indicating the abstract number, its title and the URL where the author(s) may go to consult and/or edit the abstract (i.e. modify the text of the abstract, add names of co-author(s) and institute(s) or any other relevant information). All abstracts submitted may be edited at will by their author(s) until abstract submission closes, on 15 February 2005.
• all co-authors must agree with the material being submitted.
• the material submitted may not have been published or presented at any national or international meeting before this one.
• abstracts must be written in English, with no more than 250 words, including any graph or table. No photographs and no slide presentations will be accepted.
• only registered conference participants will be accepted as abstract presenters.

Deadline for abstract submission: 15 February 2005.
