Kidney International and the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) acknowledge the immense contribution made by early-career researchers (ECR) across the globe. We would like to recognize ECR contributions by selecting the four best original research papers (2 basic and 2 clinical science publications) published in Kidney International in 2022, inclusive of those published online/in print in the last quarter of 2021. • The primary authors of these papers must be early career researchers (less than 7 years post MD/PhD, or post Nephrology/Transplant Fellowship). • Applicant for this award must be the first author of an original article, Nephrologist sans Frontières or Policy Forum. • Applicant will submit a 500-word expression of interest and include a statement outlining their key findings of the research. • In addition, all applications must be accompanied by a letter of recommendation by the applicant’s research mentor. The research mentor must be an ISN member.
Submit your application by December 16, 2022. The selection process will reflect the diversity and inclusiveness of the global nephrology communities. Papers will be judged by the Kidney International Editorial team on the originality and novelty of the research, robustness of the methodologies, quality and readability of the paper, clinical application, and effective research translational capacity. Winners of these awards will receive 500 USD each and be announced at the
World Congress of Nephrology 2023 (WCN'23) in Bangkok, Thailand.
