A Magyar Hematológiai és Transzfúziologiai Társaság 2020 májusában esedékes kongresszusának megszervezését a járványhelyzet megakadályozta, s bizonytalanná vált az is, hogy ősszel személyesen találkozhassunk. A Társaság Elnöksége a virtuális konferenciát javasolta, hiszen szükségesnek tartjuk a hematológia, különös tekintettel a lymphoproliferatív betegségek diagnosztikájával és kezelésével kapcsolatos legfrissebb eredményeit eljuttatni a szakma hazai képviselőihez.

Minthogy ebben az évben a nemzetközi rendezvényeken való részvétel sem valósulhatott meg, az Elnökség azt javasolta, hogy a hematológia más területein közlésre került eredményekről is tájékoztassuk munkatársainkat. Ennek értelmében az egynapos virtuális rendezvény második részében a klinikai hematológia más területeinek, mint a myeloproliferatív betegségek, is hallhatunk összefoglalókat.

A hematológiai betegek gyógyítása nem állhat meg járvány idején sem, ezért Társaságunk virtuális konferenciáján a legújabb hazai és nemzetközi tapasztalatokról, elsősorban gyakorlati kérdésekről kaphatnak áttekintést a résztvevők. A különös helyzet miatt elsősorban továbbképző jellegű előadások, referátumok közvetítése történik, rövid előadások és poszterek bemutatása nem lesz, a konferencia időtartamát egy napba sűrítettük. A rendezvény időpontja 2020. október 29, színhelye Kecskemét az eredeti terveknek megfelelően. Az előadások elhangzását követően élő kerekasztal megbeszélést tervezünk, melybe az előadók és a hallgatóság bekapcsolódhat.

A Társaság vezetősége bízik a kongresszus sikerében, melyhez a kollégák aktív közreműködése nélkülözhetetlen.
